A New Brand of Smocked Dresses
Our friend Mackenzie Horan showcased a few of our dresses in the summer breeze…
A New Brand of Smocked Dresses
This is the summer of smocked dresses for me and I hope they stick around for years to come because there’s truly nothing more comfortable or more forgiving, especially for the postpartum period I’m currently in. My obsession with smocked dresses started earlier this year with Hillhouse nap dresses and soared to new heights with the addition of several Maxwell & Geraldine striped dresses to my summer wardrobe. The brand was founded this spring by two sisters and I think their dresses are gorgeous quality at an under $200 price point. I wore their Brooke dress to go strawberry picking with Teddy a couple weeks ago and they were kind enough to send over the blue and white striped Kate dress I’m wearing here (I wore the XS in the Brooke and the S in the Kate). Carly snapped these photos on a particularly hot morning in ‘Sconset and it’s the perfect breezy silhouette for summer. We’re taking our first ever professional family photos on the beach in a few weeks (any tips or tricks?) and this style is a top contender for me!
P.S. I purchased my dress from Tuke Bazaar (another female-owned small business you should check out!) but if you order directly from Maxwell & Geraldine, you’re welcome to use code MACKENZIE15 for 15% off your order!
